Job: Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert

Solutions71 is seeking a Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert (TSME) to support a U.S. Government customer.  The customer requires technical expertise in telecommunications projects with a focus on land mobile radio (LMR) and associated project areas.  This would include site development, tower work, RF studies, LMR networking, LMR standards and practices, and other project areas.  The TSME will report to the Senior Project Manager and be responsible for all technical aspects of assigned programs. The TSME will be responsible for direct coordination between Government technical project stakeholders and contractor and subcontractor team members.  The TSME will be responsible for a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects of assigned projects.  The TSME will be responsible for reviewing and approving all technical project deliverables and providing oversight and observation of acceptance tests ensuring compliance with all contract deliverable requirements.

Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):

• Oversee all technical aspects of assigned projects
• Utilize industry standard best practices to review, advise, and guide contractor and subcontractor technical staff
• Utilize technical and communications expertise to provide white papers, technical reviews, and technical opinions for customer and contractor teams
• Contribute technical expertise and knowledge to project schedule for all assigned projects
• Contribute technical expertise and knowledge to support a Project Risk Plan for all assigned projects
• Managing Subcontractor technical teams
• Reviewing, editing, and creating professional grade technical deliverables for customer delivery

Requirements:

• At least 10 years in telecommunications engineering and technical programmatic work, preferably within the DoD
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience with multiple land mobile radio manufacturers, and associated networking and computer vendors
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
• Anticipated CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 30%
• Eligible to obtain U.S. passport.
