Solutions 71 is seeking Systems Engineer DevSecOps to support a Department of Defense customer. The candidate will support a DOD customer who seeks to consolidate multiple application instances into a single Enterprise System capable of supporting 10K users. The application is the innovative technical solution used by the DOD customer to facilitates geospatial information records management in an enterprise database solution and provides web enabled and desktop geospatial solutions to support the DoD mission and its users. The mission of the application is to provide the ability for DoD, AF and Intra-agency partners to transparently access, visualize and perform analysis of DoD geospatial data and products from an enterprise perspective for situational awareness, planning and decision-making. The application provides the Common Installation Picture (CIP) for customer installations around the world through the use of web mapping applications. As a ‘system of systems,’ the application allows installation-level users to visualize their base with detailed imagery and provides analytical capabilities for working with airfield waivers, emergency situations and other functions.
Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):
- Collaborate using agile best practices with teams and stakeholders to maintain production applications and infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain resources in public clouds like AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes
- Automate resource deployments using infrastructure as code
- Configure and deploy containerized micro-service components
- Troubleshoot critical systems and provide root cause analysis
- Operate and improve functionality on logging, monitoring, and alerting tools
Requirements:
- IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAM II minimum qualifications.
- 12 years experience as Systems Engineer with proven experience designing, building, and implementing enterprise GIS systems in a cloud based environment
- At least two years of proven experience in a Cloud Infrastructure or DevOps role
- Proven experience configuring Linux and or Windows systems
- Ability to write Python, Powershell or Shell
- Experience with build and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Jira, and other government provided applications and tools
- Proven experience automating common tasks using APIs
- Proven experience implementing automation solutions for deploying to a cloud environment using specific government provided Common Services, such as Jfrog (scan), Artifactory (pipeline code repository), X-ray (scan), and Jenkins (pipeline orchestrator to kick off automated scripts and promote your code), SonarQube (Code quality scanner), Checkmarx (Vulnerability scanner)
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
