Solutions 71 is seeking a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support and provide Information Systems (IS) operational and technical services for the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) and the T-JFMCC at the U.S. Pacific Fleet Headquarters, HI. Various CPF technical and operations services to CPF, MOC and T-JFMCC will be provided in accordance with DoD security, governance and technical policies, and maintenance support of a range of specialized equipment requiring a service level agreement (SLA) for minimal downtime to avoid impacting operations.

 Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):

  • Fleet Messaging Services
  • Provide NIPR and SIPR Joint Message Handling System (JMHS) operation and maintenance services for approximately 45 naval and joint activities per established SOPs.
  • 24-hour watch (monitoring of JMHS messaging processing and troubleshooting message delivery problems) 7 days a week.
  • Provide troubleshooting capability and sufficient knowledge to correctly parse both incoming and outgoing naval messages (on average this occurs 152 times per month), utilizing a functional knowledge of the Defense Messaging Dissemination System (DMDS) system operations and how it interfaces with the Command and Control Official Information Exchange (C2OIX) system at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS).
  • Utilize the Joint Army, Navy, Air Force Publication (JANAP-128) military messaging format references held on site to comply with DOD guidelines for message formats.
  • Provide troubleshooting type services and problem resolution to JMHS users who might contact the JMHS Watch either telephonically or via email
  • Guide Microsoft Outlook users with setting up Outlook Rules, “.pst” files and Search Folders. Written standard operating procedures (SOP) with screen shots shall be created/maintained and posted on HIP (CPF Headquarters Information Portal).
  • Work outside of normal duty hours may be required which will be pre coordinated (if possible) and will not extend past the 40-hour work week.

Requirements:

  • 1 – 2 years experience in processing Naval messaging delivery in accordance with customer profiles via email folders
  • Experience and familiarity with Naval Messages and/or USMTF message formats.
  • Experience drafting Naval Messages or familiarity with distributing / delivering / profiling messages (using an automated message profiling system)
  • Experience serving as first level support for users via phone or email.
  • Working knowledge of Windows workstation OS and moderate to advanced knowledge and experience with a client email such as Window’s Outlook.
  • Functional knowledge of LMDS Mailroom, iGate, DMDS system operations and interface to C2OIX.
  • Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
