Solutions 71 is seeking a Database Engineer to support a Department of Defense customer. The Database Engineer will augment an existing Database team supporting an expansive GIS systems development and sustainment team. The system will be migrating from on premise hardware to a cloud environment and this position will support that effort. The Database Engineer will participate the optimization and refinement of the existing environment and systems. The program operates under an agile framework that will guide the tasks undertaken. While the position is remote there is an established and growing team for collaboration based remotely as well as at Maxwell / Gunter Annex and Langley, AFB.
Requirements:
- Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
- IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet Information Assurance Technician – Level II (IAT-II) minimum qualifications
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong technical writing and organizational abilities
- Must have superior oral and written communications skills
- 10 years of database administration / database engineering experience preferred
- ESRI Enterprise Data Management Professional Certification highly desirable
- Oracle Database Professional Level Certification highly desirable
- Experience with Java and or Python required
- Oracle Database Experience (19c)
- Experience operating in an agile environment
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments
- Experience working with CloudOne desired
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience in supporting Department of Defense projects preferred
- Experience in supporting cloud migration on Department of Defense projects preferred
- Experience with geospatial information systems highly desired
- Experience using Atlassian apps; Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket highly desired
