Solutions 71 is seeking a Data Scientist III to support a Department of Defense customer. The Systems Engineer will assist the embedded NIWC Pacific USSTRATCOM Engineering Team in the design of innovative and cost-effective mission-relevant solutions including systems engineering, applications, cyber security, infrastructure, life cycle cost estimates, and operational solutions that address USSTRATCOM’s IT Enterprise and NEC operational and technology needs.
Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):
- Supports the NIWC Pacific embedded engineering team in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions that meet USSTRATCOM requirements.
- Prepare test and evaluation plans, procedures, and analysis approaches for candidate IT infrastructure components.
- Integrate newly developed or updated network software and hardware components into baseline systems and networks, and evaluate the post-integration performance effects.
- Participate in the integration testing of new software and hardware components, and document results.
- Provide installation support focusing on design, specification, integration and implementation of enterprise DoD Government commercial cloud architecture operating on complex distributed networks with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures
- Assist with performing and documenting results of functional analysis of IT network infrastructure requirements. The analysis and documentation shall describe required interfaces, processing, capacity, and performance as well as the actual design that could be used for implementing the specified system
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
- 10 years of data science experience
- Experience with IT integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts
- Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives
- Experience in developing successful large, complex technical solutions for Government and/or commercial customers
- CISSP or CCNP or other industry relevant certification
- IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAT II or IAM II minimum qualifications
- Must possess an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
