Solutions71 is seeking a Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) Subject Matter Expert to support a Department of Defense customer. The customer requires communication & IT services to support its CCE (C2 systems, information management systems, mail/message systems, and security systems). This support includes systems, networks, and telecommunication engineering & administration, information assurance, computer network defense, and web portal & application development as well as supporting electronic key management, project management, portfolio & configuration management, enterprise architecture, and knowledge & information management. Customer mission areas include: Information System Management Services (ISMS), Information Technology Services (ITS), Information System Administration Services (ISAS), Knowledge, Information and Application Services (KIAS), Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Services (CIAS), and Information System Support Services (ISSS).
Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):
- Maintain, install, update, to include patching, and secure operating systems and applications for all current and additional assigned systems and applications. The following is a non-inclusive list (Automated Message Handling System (AMHS), Doubletake, Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) 7.5 (or later), Microsoft SQL 2008 (or later), Microsoft Server (Windows 2012 R2 or later), Microsoft Workstation (Windows 10 or later), SMTP Relay)
- Maintain the security posture and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, in accordance with DoD requirements, of all assigned systems and applications. Analyze processes, assigned systems and applications and make recommendations for improvements and automation.
- Ensure all AMHS Directory systems and applications are compliant with DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements.
- Ensure that all AMHS systems are included in the Host Base Security System (HBSS) architecture and that all required HBSS components are installed and configured correctly.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the AMHS environment.
- Responsible for testing and executing the AMHS Continuity of Operations (COOP), to include, documenting and reporting the results accordingly.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, testing, and updating AMHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation.
- Work with AMHS vendor to arrange semi-annual site visits. 1) Work with AMHS program office to arrange 2 site visits, and 2) Provide direct support during site visits.
Requirements:
- IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAT I minimum qualifications.
- Three years of experience building, supporting and patching Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) hardware, operating systems and applications in a DoD environment.
- Experience managing and securing Windows Servers and Windows Workstations within a DoD environment.
- Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD regulations, directives, policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
- Experience managing Windows Server and Workstation operating systems in a Virtual Machine Operating Environment (VOE) like VMware.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), in a DoD environment.
- Experience backing up and restoring Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) applications and systems, in a virtual environment, via automated tools.
- Experience in managing and reviewing audit logs.
- Experience supporting Host Based Security System (HBSS) agents on Windows systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) in preparing analytical reports, information papers, and briefings for executive level recipients.
- Must possess an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
