Solutions 71 is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support and provide Information Systems (IS) operational and technical services for the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) and the T-JFMCC at the U.S. Pacific Fleet Headquarters, HI. Various CPF technical and operations services to CPF, MOC and T-JFMCC will be provided in accordance with DoD security, governance and technical policies, and maintenance support of a range of specialized equipment requiring a service level agreement (SLA) for minimal downtime to avoid impacting operations.
Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):
- Provide expert IT support to the Director Headquarters Support/Systems analysis (N645) providing the technical guidance, tools, services and support that enable efficient and effective IT delivery; maintain existing CPF applications and services.
- Provide technical software engineering, maintenance and customer services on assigned CPF applications
- Create solutions (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow, M365) for customer related requirements that average 4 a year
- Provide secondary maintenance to other applications (for example, the Joint Message Handling System (JMHS) as needed
- Provide weekly status to N645 and ad-hoc documentation as requested of technical tasks completed.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ recent experience in application development and web hosting.
- Cloud and workflow management experience preferred
- Current COMPTIA Security + certification
- Relevant/recent experience with Object-Oriented Design, relational database modeling, web application programming.
- Knowledge of programming and have the expertise in at least one major programming language (C/C++, Java, C#/ASP.NET, Ruby, Python)
- Knowledge of SQL, be able to create databases, tables, queries, forms and reports.
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server and MySQL databases
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of interfacing databases with operational systems
- Experience with ASP.NET Framework, SharePoint, open-source solutions (e.g., Ruby-on-Rails, Java), database design, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), browser compatibility, secure coding practices, open source version/revision control (e.g., GIT), requirements definition and decomposition, and testing (Unit, Integration, Functional).
- BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related field)
- Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
